Thus Behavioral Sleep Solutions was launched in May 2018. I created the program out of a need for structure in order to meet demand. Since then, I have served hundreds of clients who have seen tremendous improvement in their sleep and subsequently improvement in their quality of life. See what they had to say here.
Outside of the office I spend most of my time with my husband and our three sons. We love hanging out with neighborhood friends, going for walks, cooking together, and reading stories. Music is a life-long passion of mine, especially singing in choirs. One of my favorite places in the world is the Pisgah Inn where four generations of my family have spent countless hours admiring the views. I love the idea of gardening but am terrible at doing it. Puns and bad jokes make me happy. Chocolate is my love language.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Hi,
If you had told me in 2007 – the year I completed my Master’s in Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University – that a decade later I would be living in Asheville, NC and treating sleep disorders, I would have laughed at you. Not about living in Asheville, which is where I have family, but the part about treating sleep disorders. My Master’s thesis explored the intersection of religion, spirituality, and mental health. Then, once I began my life as an outpatient therapist, I completed extensive training in the use of cognitive behavioral therapy to treat a wide variety of problems including obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma, tics & Tourette’s syndrome, and everyday stress.
Sometime around 2015 my life changed when a colleague introduced me to cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia. My insomnia clients got better – a lot better. They told their doctors and their doctors began sending more of their patients to me. It wasn’t long until my days were packed with insomnia clients and I had an extensive wait list.
