Erin Shedle, LCSW
Clinical Social Work/Therapist
I help people with sleep disorders by teaching different ways to face difficult nights and stop seeing the bed as the enemy. Many of the graduates of my program are able to stop using sleep aids. By the end most say they are sleeping better than they have in years, if not decades.
One-on-one counseling
In traditional therapy style, we meet weekly to discuss the concepts of CBT for insomnia. We then use them to create an individualized sleep plan that you will follow and modify in our weekly sessions.
- $160 for a 50 minute session.
- $80 for 30 minutes.
- Other lengths of time can be prorated.
Couples
Sometimes it’s both members of the couple who struggle with sleep, and other times it’s only one person but the other is affected and needs to be involved. Meeting as a couple is often central to success since the sleep of one impacts the other.
- $175/hour
Group
Treating sleep disorders in a group setting is an excellent way to ensure that everyone gets the care they need as quickly as possible. It also has a unique aspect of mutual support. All group members are experiencing similar problems and going through the process together. This creates camaraderie and accountability that motivates and inspires.
All group participants must have an initial one-hour consultation ($160) before enrolling.
- Each 90 minute group session is $75
- Thirty minute one-on-one sessions are available as needed ($80)
Sleep for the Whole Family
There is often a domino effect among families: One person struggles with sleep, so everyone struggles with sleep. In these cases, it’s most effective to work with the whole household to address everyone’s sleep at the same time. This includes teenagers, children, and babies.

Discontinuing Medications for Sleep
Sometimes the occasional sleep aid can be helpful. Other times it gets out of hand. One sleep aid works for a short while, then loses its effectiveness. This leads to adding another, and another, and another. Sleeping naturally without the use of sleep aids is a real possibility and a common focus of our program. This can be accomplished in either a one-on-one or group format.
